Simon Jobson

Simon has worked in the law for 25 years; longer if you include childhood days playing with Tim’s company seals. Commencing his legal career in litigation in London, from qualification Simon specialised in commercial property at Linklaters. He has practised at a number of firms, large and small, taking over Jobsons in 2020.

Simon is a trustee of a charity in south Birmingham and sits on the Stafford Local Area Advisory Board of Staffordshire Chambers of Commerce. He previously sat on the executive of Solihull Chamber of Commerce. He has always been involved in matters automotive and is a member of the Green Lane Association (GLASS) and holds a Motorsport UK Clubman’s Licence. Simon also has a keen interest in constitutional law though he has no intention of ever practising it.

Outside of work, Simon enjoys cycling and walking, architecture and loves animals.

 

Charlotte Collins

Charlotte is Jobsons’ head of litigation specialising in commercial dispute resolution and property management issues. Charlotte qualified in 1991 and has worked in small, medium and large firms throughout the Midlands before joining Jobsons in October 2020.

Charlotte has a loyal and varied client base, many of whom she has acted for over a period of many years.

Charlotte’s litigation practice includes: housing litigation, service charge and ground rent recovery, tribunal applications, Right to Manage, lease renewals & variations, construction disputes, collective enfranchisement, major works disputes, commercial lease disputes, local authority disputes, subsidence claims, boundary disputes, adverse possession, commercial and contractual disputes and contentious probate.

When not resolving disputes, Charlotte spends her time with cats and pumpkins.

 

 

Tim Jobson

Tim has always enjoyed working with business people and considers himself to be lucky to have practiced for his entire career in or close the Black Country with its no nonsense approach to business. He was educated at Bromsgrove School and Keble College in Oxford and trained at Wragge & Co in Birmingham, working as Head of the Company Department for Lyon Clark & Co in West Bromwich for 16 years. Many clients who Tim met then are still with him at Jobsons today.

After a further 10 years as Head of Corporate at Keelys in Lichfield and 16 years in the same position at ORJ solicitors (formerly Oldham Rust Jobson) in Stafford, Tim took his excellent team with him to create Jobsons Solicitors in 2011.
Tim is a member of the Board of Stafford Chamber of Commerce and a past President of the Chamber.

He enjoys racing his Solo sailing dinghy at Barnt Green Sailing Club where he is a past Commodore, Company Secretary and Royal Yachting Association Club Racing Coach.

 

Samuel Booth

Samuel is an associate specialising in corporate law and originally joined the Jobsons team in 2015. He worked for a specialist corporate law firm in Birmingham City Centre before training and qualifying at Jobsons. Samuel adopts a calm, confident approach which his clients appreciate as they feel reassured when he is dealing with their matters.

Samuel was educated at King Edward VI High School in Stafford and Staffordshire University.
Outside of work, he enjoys playing rugby for St Leonard’s Rugby Club . Other hobbies include travelling and walking his dog Cooper.

 

Daniella Tarbuck

Daniella is a Consultant Solicitor with Jobsons who has many years experience dealing with business owners mainly in the SME market as she enjoys the hands on a approach required when working alongside business owners and directors as part of their legal team. Having worked in commerce before her legal career, she adopts a practical and commercial view of transactional work and works hard to find a straightforward resolution for her clients.

Daniella was educated at Queen Mary’s High School for Girls and The University of Birmingham and trained at the Wilkes Partnership in Birmingham, following a period of working for Wragge & Co immediately after qualification.
She now enjoys working with the Jobsons team to assist corporate and commercial clients achieve the best outcome they can from their transactions.

Outside of work, she enjoys an active gym membership and loves live music of all genres, regularly attending gigs at music venues across the Midlands area.

 

Ann Sheldon

Ann is our HR Consultant who has vast experience of dealing with and helping to resolve all manner of people related issues and challenges that can occur within any size of Company and or business sector. Her commercially minded and pragmatic approach means she is used by many clients on both a retained and project basis depending on need.

Ann was educated at The Royal Wolverhampton School followed by Birmingham and Slough Universities. She worked in house for blue chip employers such as BET, Panasonic in both UK and European HR roles before becoming a Consultant.
Ann hobbies and interests include socialising, dog walking, DIY and gardening.

 

Jack Cranage 

Jack has over 30 years of experience in conveyancing both residential and commercial.
Before joining Jobsons in November 2022, not only was he the Head of the Conveyancing Department for a previous firm but, prior to that, he ran his own firm. 

Outside of work, he is an avid chess player. He plays the guitar, his favourite style being the Blues and he is a renowned breakfast chef. There is very little that he does not know about food or conveyancing.

 

Aisha Mir

Aisha is a solicitor within the corporate team and joined Jobsons in February 2023. Before joining the firm, Aisha graduated from Aston University in July 2017 with a 2:1 LLB Law degree and trained at a law firm in Birmingham City Centre. Outside of work, Aisha enjoys spending time with her family and friends as well as getting stuck into a
good TV series.
